Top sporting events for August 2012 (Singapore)
All of you fitness warriors soldiering on with your workouts in spite of the sweltering heat have these sporting challenges to sign up for in the coming weeks.
Frost & Sullivan Corporate Challenge
Register as an individual or gather your best buddies to form a team of four and take part in the Frost & Sullivan race for charity! The race route winds through scenic MacRitchie Reservoir, by far the best place in Singapore to run, in my opinion, and you can choose from 5-kilometre or 10-kilometre runs. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Bright Hill Evergreen Home for the elderly, and all donors get two-and-a-half times their donation tax deducted. The organizers have also gotten linked up with cool merchants to bring you awesome deals, such as discounts at zalora.sg, Jabra Sport and Columbia. Finally, as another additional perk, there will be a breakfast carnival after the run, and each participant gets $20 worth of carnival vouchers to spend!
When: 25 Aug, 7:15am
Where: MacRitchie Reservoir
How much: $125 for individual, $500 for team
